Here she is!

Alexis Rhys (pronounced "Reese") was born on March 3rd, and we brought her home tonight. Right now, if I'm honest, I cannot believe this beautiful child is ours. I keep waiting for whoever owns this kid to come pick her up!
And to prove that you actually CAN take way too many pictures of a child, here's a Quicktime slideshow of the first 24 hours of her life, courtesy my Nikon D100 digital SLR camera, my iPhoto software, and Macy Gray. It's a pretty big file, so give it a minute or so to load if you have a fast connection, longer if you don't.

SHE'S BEAUTIFUL! From the pictures I can already see the transformation of you both from single with no children to Parents! You both look so happy and that little girl looks marvelously content with you!
Enjoy your little miracle. You continue to amaze me Karen... you are presented with your first child and you're on the Internet posting pictures to all of your friends the same night! You made my day by sharing these wonderful photos.
I'll be by to see you soon. Tell Alexis Hello!
Hugs to all of you.

It is a good thing I was at home when I got this email, nothing like a good cry over the birth of a precious baby. I can't wait to see her in person. She is just beautiful.

Oh, my uterus hurts just looking at her! She's beautiful, and I wish you all the joy in the world. There is nothing like a little girl to soothe the soul (take it from me, I also have two boys!).

You know, it's really not cool to sit in your cubicle and cry, but at least they're happy tears! She's so beautiful - and so are Mom and Dad when they look at her. Love to you all.

Hi I was just surfing the net and happen to stumble across a site that link to yours. When I logged on the site, it went onto say you would no longer be blogging here and it showed me how to get to your photoblog....well, when I saw the picture of your new addition I broke into tears (yep right at my work station) seconds later my boss came by and wanted to know what was going on when I showed her and she broke into tears too....ok, now there are two blubbering fools...Your work is amazing and I am lucky to have found your site. This was the first time being here but, I can assure you it won't be the last. God's blessing over you and your BEAUTIFUL family.....

Karen, I just wanted to say a quick hello and farewell. I see you're leaving on Saturday and didn't realise when you told me about your move that it was so soon. Perhaps I will bump in to you one last time at Rituals, if not... to my coffee shop friend : May you find continued happiness and contentment in this leg of your life journey. I have no doubt that you will! And if you are silly enough to return to law, remember to ensure that you are master of your time! Take care. Tash
p.s. your site is brilliant, and you're an inspiration. I'll get me a proper camera yet!
