We're back!
We had a great holiday in New Mexico. The abridged version:
1. I now officially know how to spell "Albuquerque." See? All my life I've been struggling how to spell that word. And now I know.
2. Since travelling with an infant requires quite a number of naptimes, there were several instances where we found ourselves back at our hotel, waiting for Alex to finish sleeping, trying to find something to amuse ourselves.
Luckily, the CSI Marathon was showing all week on Spike TV: The First Network for Men (?!). If anyone out there needs someone to interpret blood spatter or an errant hair strand, I'm your man.
3. Alex did GREAT on the plane. So great, in fact, she was awarded a certificate by the flight attendants:

(It reads: "Southwest Airlines Welcomes Alexis. For your first flight on Southwest Airlines, we proudly salute you on this 11th day of September, 2004." )
How fabulous is that -- especially given the date of the certificate.
For the longer version of our holiday story, click on the "Santa Fe 2004" photo album to the right. I'll leave it up until our next vacation. But for now, enjoy.

Well THAT was satisfying after a week without you! Looks like a fabulous vacation with amazing pictures. And Alex gets more beautiful every day.

Welcome home! I'm glad it was such a terrific time. When you have a second pop over to my site and check out the wild adoption event that just happened to my friends. It starts on the entry "oh joyous day".
Now, let's get down to the serious issues at hand, can Alex be ANY cuter?!!! I think not. Those cheeks, those eyes, sigh...

Wow, it looks like you guys had a fantastic time. Way to go Alex for being the perfect flier.
The pictures were just great. I especially loved Alex in her bucket hat. She gets cuter every day!

You are truly a generous soul, K. I was soooo looking forward to hearing about your vacation, and you really went all out for your "fans." Thank you.
But I'm with your mama. I thought I was going to have a heart attack when Alexis was going up that ladder! But I'm sure that, just as with my hubby, the daredevil, there was simply nothing that you could do. :)
Cute, cute, cute pictures of Alex, you and Marcus. I'm so glad that your trip ended up being about the time together, and not about getting there. Alex is an angel!

Well it looks like Alex had a fabulous time! Look at that smile and those teeth! I am so glad Alex didnt do her scream machine act on the plane. I am sure it saved you.
I check on Alex like every other day and decided to start my own blog about our adoption journey!
She is just as cute as can be!

After a long search, I finally found your site. My granny used to say, that you must never give up to reach a certain aim.
So keep on going like I did it recently.
