alex's life book

  • In early 2006, I began creating a life book for my daughter, Alex. Click here for links to articles describing my experience.
  • And for those of you who are more digitally inclined, in late 2006, I recreated key pages of Alex's lifebook for an article I wrote for AlphaMom, using Scrapblog.

You can see the final digital result (and leave comments, if you'd like!) here.

I have lurked for a few months, but these pictures are just calling for a comment; - GORGEOUS! You lucky woman!

There is nothing -- nothing -- in the world cuter than a toddler in overalls.

Hey - she can be a Trini farmer - someebody's gotta stake out the milk cow and goat every day! (Hers will just have to be Alex size to fit in the apartment's courtyard!) She looks precious - a good look for a girl on the move!

Oh LORD, I want to EAT HER UP!!! If y'all ever come to Boston, you totally have a babysitter...I know that's a long way from Trinidad, but a girl can dream, right????

VeganMomma

She is so cute! My daughter is quite the camera hog. I am always snapping pictures of her.

Laura

That second pic looks like a runway strut if I've ever seen one!

Your daughter is gorgous!

I've just sat and read the majority of your blog. I was so touched by some of the comments from people regarding adoption that you've posted up. Thought I share this one with you. We went to dinner with friends- who adopted a little girl from vietnam, she was 7 at the time this took place. I can't remember what the context of the conversation was exactly, but a child asked her about her adoption and she replied "Im just the same as you, except I grew in my mummy's heart instead of in her tummy."

Your blog is such an enjoyable read, and the photos are just spectacular. Don't stop taking them! They will hold so many precious memories in years to come.
