alex's life book

  • In early 2006, I began creating a life book for my daughter, Alex. Click here for links to articles describing my experience.
  • And for those of you who are more digitally inclined, in late 2006, I recreated key pages of Alex's lifebook for an article I wrote for AlphaMom, using Scrapblog.

You can see the final digital result (and leave comments, if you'd like!) here.

Karen, do you have a graphics button that we could load to our side bar so IL stands out a bit more than an average link?

Read the whole thing in one...well, one and a half sittings. Dd has her needs, you know.

This is what happened to me when I was finished. I have a long, drawn out report I have been working on for nearly a month, and I could barely look at it anymore. Inspired by the creativity in the writing on Indigo Leaf, I went back to it, rejuvenated, and now it's something of which I'm actually proud.

And today, I'll be dusting off that novel that's been hiding underneath a stack of folders on my hard drive. Don't know if/when I'll submit it anywhere on this planet, but my heart just wants to write something creative, something that matters. To feel the keys dance beneath my fingers as my heart leaps out on the computer screen. Thank you for the inspiration and hope, k.

Love, B
