alex's life book

  • In early 2006, I began creating a life book for my daughter, Alex. Click here for links to articles describing my experience.
  • And for those of you who are more digitally inclined, in late 2006, I recreated key pages of Alex's lifebook for an article I wrote for AlphaMom, using Scrapblog.

You can see the final digital result (and leave comments, if you'd like!) here.

Oh my goodness, that was hilarious! I have tears in my eyes.

Glad you guys had a good time. Love the pictures, as always. Especially the ones of the two of them in the water.

Karen, you have such a rare talent for capturing emotion and the good stuff of life... in your photos and in your words. Thanks for doing what you do.

Kristin

That's awesome. I'm glad you had some well-deserved zen.

Michelle

And someday she'll be complaining that you embarrass her--every time my kids say that I tell them the account is so weighted in my favor and that I could never embarrass them as many times as they've done it to me.

karen t

Oh that's funny!

chris

alex's laughter is something to behold- even in still photos. i feel that if it wasn't so noisy here, i'd be able to actually hear her! peace to all

I am glad to hear that others do the same. Amber was very confused when we tried to explain that she could just pee in the ocean. I mean the fish do, why cant we? After much argument we just took her all the way back to our hotel room, so she could go to the bathroom. A year later, she has no problem using the ocean, pool whatever to do her business.

Nothing is safe in the minds and mouths our children. Amber has been known to be very loud and descriptive in public restrooms about what I am doing. She is usually lying. That is my story and I am sticking to it.

Love all your pictures and your daughter is beautiful.

meredith

Ha!
We have a similar technique.

sheilah

Ahhh...she is a little cracker, isn't she?

Shannon

Oh my goodness! Kids will never let you get away with anything!! What a little sweetie you've got!

maryrwise

Ha! Good for Alex!

Leslie

Oh that is such a funny story --- Squat mommy! It's payback time, when they grow up and we get to tell them these stories. I laughed so hard at the Bob Marley story as well. She's a little corker....and that is a good thing

cassie-b

Just another reason I love children.
