alex's life book

  • In early 2006, I began creating a life book for my daughter, Alex. Click here for links to articles describing my experience.
  • And for those of you who are more digitally inclined, in late 2006, I recreated key pages of Alex's lifebook for an article I wrote for AlphaMom, using Scrapblog.

You can see the final digital result (and leave comments, if you'd like!) here.

Yes! They are all so cute!

I'm a big fan of adoption, too and am always trying to convince others to give it a try. I can't imagine my life without my three babies, and am looking forward to bringing home my other three babies from Ethiopia!

They are all so precious!!!

Jenna

of course they are totally beautiful babies! And their parents are lucky ones, that's for sure. :)

and of course, I am a total fan of adoption .. we have our two beautiful babies right now, and I know there are more to join our family in the future through adoption! Adoption is a great and wonderful thing, it truly is. :)

Those babies are absolutely wonderful. I wish I could give em each a big hug!

I have never adopted a baby, but I am a huge fan of giving each and every baby a wonderful loving home.

Rachael

They are gorgeous! All of them are baby GAP model material. Adoption is wonderful!

Adoption - God's way of putting very special babies with very special parents !

Suze

ooo, look at those sweet faces!

They are all beautiful kids! Glad you had a good time at your picnic. Adoption is a really good thing all round, I think. It's been working well for us so far. Looks like it's been working well for you too!

Holy smokes these little people can make you MELT. At five months pregnant, I have totally thought about adopting #2 (after this #1 gets here and is a couple of years old.)

I figure there's so many kids out there who need families, why not be a family for one little person? PLUS.. all my pregnant worries wouldn't be there. Just the Mom ones. Hey, I'll take that any day.

Hi there,

First and foremost, Congratulations.

I noticed your post on adoption.com and wanted to comment that I do agree with you about the 'selectiveness' that the parents seem to have, wanting a child of mixed race and so on. I feel that a child is a child -

As an adoptee from the Philippines, I am very fortunate to have a loving family that loved me for me - good - bad and the stubborn me!

I am still grappling with international adoption and the question of cultural competence and sensitivity among the parents. I am glad that there are far more resources today than there were in the 1980's when my parents adopted me. I also hope that the voice of adoptees will also rise above the dominance of parents who have adopted.

My girlfriend has a weblog on typepad - Sharon Cuartero - take a look at it. She shares a lot about her adoption experience.
