alex's life book

  • In early 2006, I began creating a life book for my daughter, Alex. Click here for links to articles describing my experience.
  • And for those of you who are more digitally inclined, in late 2006, I recreated key pages of Alex's lifebook for an article I wrote for AlphaMom, using Scrapblog.

You can see the final digital result (and leave comments, if you'd like!) here.

Just. too. funny. Oh, my boys would love this!

Mary, mom to many

awwwwww, man. that is... hmm. i dont seem to have any words. but you know what? it looks like great exercise... filling it up with air, waving it around like a madman... hmm. yeah, marcus. alex is going to have SUCH interesting stories to share with her classmates!!! ha!

Oh, lordy is that funny.

Then what do you do with it? A bet deflating it is a pain in the but too.
Men and there toys!

your husband truly IS special. ;)

I have to say you really scared me. I first read this using Bloglines (RSS/Atom feed reader) and the words were there before the pictures loaded. I had NO IDEA what I was going to get! (I mean, artistic license and all.) Whew! I'm glad it was so innocuous.

Nancy (H-Town)

OMG I'm dyin over here!! This is hysterical! Thanks for the laugh Karen!

(to Marcus) How YOU doin'?

Why are men so easily amused with such unusual items?

First, must say that I'm completely amused by such things. Second: HAAAAAAAAAA! Good one! You scared me for a second, I thought, "hmmm... Chookooloonks has taken a severe left turn here somewhere.. what happened?" I'm now going to show it to my DH, who will probably not laugh as hard as I will.

So... Marcus is quite the guy apparently... Color me impressed!!

Karen, is that your YARD??? That yard totally reminds me of my childhood in the Philippines. You don't get yards like that in the U.S.! I'm so jealous!

(Yes, I noticed the condom..but that YARD!! Damn!)

Flambo --

Yes, it's my yard -- mine, as well as the tenants of the other 17 units in our apartment complex ... ;o)

So, did any of your neighbors ask about the giant prophylactic in the backyard?

Ummm... neat?
Yes, I'm wondering about your neighbors, too. Wonder what they were thinking...

Yea, I had a friend who brought one of those over once.... what fun! Amazing how they work! LOL Beautiful pictures. I LOVE your yard too!

That is too cool. But I am just as amazed to look at people BAREFOOT in SHORTS on green grass. Someday, maybe in June, I'll get to do that too...

OMG, that is absolutely hysterical! Where do you get something like that?

I am laughing so hard! THat sounds like something my hubby would do!

Completely brilliant. Marcus is a hero.
Ah the wondrous lunacy of thermodynamics.
I suspect it wouldn't work so well in the UK....the key word being 'heat'.

How cool! I want one!

I'm thinking you might need a permit to use that thing. Either that or a blinking light to warn oblivious aircraft.

There is only one word that describes my first thought upon seeing Marcus' giant "condom"...

lol! ah, boys and their toys.......
