alex's life book

  • In early 2006, I began creating a life book for my daughter, Alex. Click here for links to articles describing my experience.
  • And for those of you who are more digitally inclined, in late 2006, I recreated key pages of Alex's lifebook for an article I wrote for AlphaMom, using Scrapblog.

You can see the final digital result (and leave comments, if you'd like!) here.

Lovely. I'm going to show my girls your hair and see if it inspires them at least for a trim.

What a great photo. I could look at it for a long time without getting bored. It holds so much that is worth noticing.

I haven't sent any comments on this blog before, only written you a couple of private mails, Karen, asking questions about Trinidad that you most kindly answered in great detail. Thanks again!
But this Love Thursday idea is tempting me.

I'm 55 years old/young and I live in Stockholm, Sweden. And after almost a whole life as a single man I finally met a wonderful woman in May this year. She answered my Lonely Hearts ad on Thursday the 11th of May and we first met on the 25th, also a Thursday. So today we celebrate our 14/16 weeks anniversary.

Just wanted to say that it's never too late. We've spent most of summer together and I hope to spend the rest of my life with her!

Lots of love from sunny Sweden!
Jörgen

In honor of Love Thursday and the first anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, I'm asking people to show their love for the children of the Gulf Coast by making a donation to schools there through DonorsChoose.

Here's my picture of community love & info on the larger BloggersChoose Challenge:

Thanks for reminding us that love IS what makes the world go round...

Moushette

Hello,

Here is a pix of my two children, Nishal 4 y.o., and Scarlett 2 y.o. adopted from India ! My daughter looooves her brother, and see how she likes to hug him...

I live in France, I am half Indian origin and my husband is French. This is a picture of our summer holidays on the French coast.

Karen, I enjoyed reading your blog, the pix and your humour are great ! Alex is so expressive, it is amazing how she simply bursts with emotions on all the pix !

Big Pumpkin

This is my daughter giving some flowers to her grandmother. I chose this because my mother made me cry this morning (she has cancer) and this photo just makes me feel how cherished every single moment is between my daughter and my mother.

I posted an entry earlier in the week about how hard it is to let my youngest go to school every day, full-time. I think it definitely applies to the theme!
